What's the story morning glory?

After a good night's sleep we are preparing to get on our way, and planning to hit the road around 10 am. We have been averaging around 50 miles per hour, and have around 1220 miles left, so around 24 hours left of driving. Time to saddle up!

Sweet Slumber at Last

Hello from Iowa City, Iowa! Though initially I had not planned on getting hotel rooms along our trip, plans change and we are currently preparing to nestle down for a good night's sleep.

I would like to thank everyone who has been so wonderful and supportive during this exciting new transition in our lives. I had no idea how many people cared until this point, and am overwhelmed by the amount of compassion and help we received. Again I would like to offer my sincerest thanks and deepest gratitude to all of those, not only within my family, but also within the family formed by my fellow comrades in orange, friends, and church members.

We headed out a little later than planned, but have enjoyed a beautiful drive that has been relatively uneventful. I have pictures that I will upload later of the stuffed van and packed trailer, more importantly of the kids peering out from the assorted debries.

All in all, we traveled around 500 miles today. I am hoping to pick up some of the missed drive time tomorrow - but for now, all are safe and sound - snoozing
